Been coming for years and have always had long periods between visits & Every time we return, we ask ourselves why haven't we been more often Great friendly staff, very nice atmosphere. I give the Peacock 5 stars for a number of reasons and depite there being no disabled access ( the restaurant being located on the 1st floor). That, however, is the only negative. Staff are friendly, polite and attentive. The decor is stunning and the restaurant is immaculately clean. The menu is extensive with 3 'banquet' options and a large choice of individual starters, main meals and sides. A dessert menu is also available. The food is beautifully presented and tastes amazing. The atmosphere is very good indeed with a casual dress code and it is very family friendly. Prices are reasonable too with takeaway also an option, a discount is given on food for takeaway. A must visit if you enjoy quality Chinese food in a warm and welcome atmosphere.
One of very few restaurants that can be called as late as 8.30pm and still be seated for a meal. Fantastic setting ...nobody would imagine how such a small entrance could lead to a fabulous floor space. Dinner for 2 we ordered the second banquet and are delighted to find that not only was the food delicious but portion sizes were so filling we simply had the take the main courses home as a take out . Service was fantastic , setting very nice indeed, food delicious and fresh , reasonably priced . A fab understated little Chinese restaurant
